It's your Essex neighbor, Kate Moses, author, and therapeutic baker, here to announce that The Pink Pig is BACK! Debb and Fred will see you at the Cafe Window for their local-favorite breakfasts, including the Pig's signature Egg Sandwiches and Hashbrown Quiche, those enormous bagels delivered from Manhattan 2x a week, crispy light Croissants, and Fred's specialty homebaked Muffins, Scones, and QuickBreads.
You've probably all been jonesing for somebody to make you a real coffee ever since New York went on Pause, and at last your prayers are being answered. The barista coffee drinks are all available, and you can also take home a bag of The Pink Pig's exclusive blend of organic Fair Trade coffee, a medium roast of Brazilian/Peruvian/Columbian beans, available both ground and whole bean.
What about LUNCH?! Well, the Pig's got exactly what you need for a midday meal, now conveniently packaged as a Box Lunch, so you can have a picnic down at the dock or up on your Coon Mountain hike. Sandwich and other lunch mains will change every week, and all Box Lunches come with a salad and a sweet baked treat made by me, from the recipes in my memoir Cakewalk as well as other confections I've been saving just for you Piglets! We will always have my award-winning signature Salted Two-Chocolate Chunk cookies (Regular, and Gluten-free with Almonds), plus another special cookie or two every week: Oatmeal Cherry Cookies, Raspberry Linzer Cutouts, Date Bars, Chewy Fudgy Brownies (featured in the New York Times!), Walnut Blondies, and Forest Friends Decorated Sugar Cookies. AND to gild the lily, Homemade Cinnamon Marshmallows (more flavors to follow)!
As always, The Pink Pig Cafe strives to use fresh local ingredients from local farms and food artisans whenever possible.
